Melatonin prevented beta cell senescence against glucolipotoxicity

Beta cell senescence is being regarded as the one of the mechanisms of beta cell dysfunction. Melatonin secreted primarily from the pineal glandregulates a variety of physiological functions, such as sleep, circadian rhythms, and neuroendocrine actions.
